I love Softball!

I have been playing softball every Thursday night this summer on our church co-ed team. It is wonderful. Our last game is this week and our record is unblemished! We are working hard to keep it that way so all we have to do is lose one more time, ha! I like it even though we are awful. However sometimes it is frustrating because I am very competitive. I personally have done quite well if I do say so myself. This last Thursday I slid into third and it was beautiful. Everybody was impressed. However, I could not walk the next two days because it was so torn up. I have three huge scrapes all down my right shin. It was well worth it though. I wish our season was not almost over. My mom and sister are coming to my game on Thursday, I hope I can play with my leg and all. I think I will tough it out!

We are moving this week! Our new place is awesome, it is like we have our own home!

DONE FOREVER!!!

I am finally finished and I killed my last exam! I am about to curl up with some Blue Bell and watch project run way. I have been running around the house and dancing all over the place. I really might not sleep tonight because I am so stinking excited.

Yuck and Yay at the same time!

Yay! I only have 2 days of college left. All I have to do is show up and take 2 exams. I can't believe it is actually here. I feel like I have been in school forever. And the best part of this semester... I will be shocked if I don't pull all A's! I am going to have some big party Wednesday night after I take my last exam. I can't decide what to do because it will be about 9:30 (too late for dinner) and Landon is gone (my party partner) so I guess I will eat Blue Bell ice cream and watch Project Runway. I will celebrate bigger later. Landon said he would take me to the zoo and out for a nice dinner when he gets home. That will be my real celebration!

Yuck! I went to a teacher conference yesterday and ran into a 5th grade teacher that works at my new school. She is super nice and answered some questions I had about getting into my new room. She was new last year and is really going to help me out with random things. Then out of conversation I found out some shocking news. None of the kindergarten teachers are coming back!!!! That means all three of us will be new! I knew that one of them was trying to leave but the lead teacher, that I love, was going to be there one more year. I was planning on having her guidance for my first year. I only applied at Ruby Young. It was the perfect situation because I already knew my team and they liked me and we gelled. I did not want to work somewhere else because I was scared to get a bad team or an unorganized team. Now that is what I might get and I could have gotten that in a different district and be making $4000 more. I am trying to deal with it and hoping God does something that makes my year not horrible.

I am so TIRED!!!

I am completely exhausted! I have been writing papers like crazy and studying for a ridiculous exam plus going to music camp everyday. I am done with everything except exams now. I am so happy!! All my girl cousins are here and that is a blast. We have been swimming everyday and watching Mary-Kate and Ashley movies every night. I love being a kid again. I am also reading a great book and that has added to by exhaustion. I really should stop reading and go to sleep.

This weekend Landon and I are taking all the Seniors to Schlitterbahn. I have never been and actually looking forward to it.

The terrible is almost over

I only have 5 more class days before most of my classes are over. I can't wait! I am so tired but it will be so worth it once it is all over. I think I am going to pull all A's in these 3 classes so that is a big plus!

Landon and I have decided to move come August. We are going to live in a duplex and get a dog and a new couch. I am excited about the couch, Landon is excited about the dog. I am going to have 2 weeks to decorate and make it perfect before my new job, teaching kindergarten, starts. It is going to be so cute!

A sad note, my favorite people at church are moving next week. I will miss John and Peggy but it will be better for them i guess. Sad. Sad.

The Terrible Has Begun

The next 5 weeks of my life are going to be pure misery. I have accepted it and ready to take on the challenge. I am taking 15 hours of senior level classes in a 5 week period. I basically go all day, everyday. I do get Friday off but I will be working so it really does me no good. I have been to 3 of my 5 classes. So far I like all my teachers and am genuinely excited about the class material. We will see how long that lasts.

I am also starting a diet/ workout program. I know many of you will not believe this but I weigh a ton and am completely out of shape. I need to lose about 15 pounds and I want to be able to run a 7 1/2 mile again. I am about to go run at our on campus workout facility. We will see how it goes.

On a happy note, Landon and I loved San Antonio. The entire trip was perfect. Sea World is amazing. I would recommend going for sure. We went on a Thursday before school was out so the crowd was no problem. We did not wait more then 5 minutes for a single thing. It was a blast. I also got a super cute shirt from the Alamo. We ate at this Italian place with my Aunt. It was some of the best food I have ever put into my mouth. I even tried a shrimp and I liked it. That does not mean I will start eating shrimp so don't get any ideas. That one piece was good but I doubt any other kind would be all that tasty. We also went on a tour of some underground caverns. There were only 10 people on our tour so the guy let us do some extra stuff and let us hang out longer. It was cool. The drive through zoo we went to just about freaked me out. I was terrified. But it was still fun. The part I thought would be the coolest was that we were staying in an old jail house. Anyone who really knows me understands how that would fulfill a long time dream of mine, staying in jail for a night. But the place was totally redone and you could not even tell it had once been a prison. Oh well. The best part of the trip besides 3 awesome days alone with my husband... I got to eat at Freebirds...twice...delicious!!!

Year Old Cake

Well yesterday was the day. The only day that people encourage you to eat cake that is old, I mean really old. Landon and I ate the top of our wedding cake. It was nasty old (1 year old). And it tasted nasty. I had one bite and was done. Landon said it was not bad, he wouldn't buy it but it was't bad. After 3 bites he threw up. It was bad. But really our day was great! We did nothing. Year one you are supossed to exchange paper and that was the plan. I gave Landon a letter written on first grade handwritting paper, and I must day it did make my handwritting look excellent. He gave me a letter on a peice of paper ripped from a notebook. It was a really sweet letter. But then he pulled a cooler out from the top shelf in our laundry area. He pulled out a package, then a box, then another box. I was thinking necklace. It was a beautiful diamond to go in my wedding ring. Most people don't know the diamond I had was fake. But the ring itself was so expensive and already had 4 little diamonds, we couldn't handle to pay anymore. Landon told me that on our 1 year anniversary we would get a real diamond. I didn't think he really would. It is so beautiful. It looks great in my ring too. But more then that, Landon did not just buy any diamond. He researched for 2 weeks finding the perfect one. Landon knows everything about diamonds. He spent an hour telling me what you look for in a diamond and what makes them shine and how hard it is to get certain things in a diamond. If you are in need of a diamond my boy can tell you what to get and how not to get ripped off. What I love most about my diamond is all the work he did to make sure it was perfect and worth every penny he was spending. Our day was perfect!!

We are going to San Antonio tomorrow to celebrate for real. What am I looking forward to the most? Stopping in Austin to eat at Freebirds. YUM!
